Hi everyone.

This morning, the Daily Bread Food Bank released their Who’s Hungry 2012: Faces Of Hunger report. In it, they talk about how the need for food banks is sadly growing, not declining.

Some key findings from their survey:

  • Food Bank visits in the GTA have risen 18% since 2008, to a total of 1,123,500 visits overall
  • 25% of children go hungry at least once a week due to lack of money
  • $5.83 is the amount of money available per person per day after rent is paid

The need is great.

You can download the full report, a snapshot, and view a video summary of the report’s findings by going to the Daily Bread Food Bank’s Website.

Please consider helping us meet the need this Fall.

Thank you.
